Class Description

This is a practical exercise course teaching the actual operations performed by Rapid Intervention Teams and the techniques used to complete rescues of downed personnel. Because of today’s contents in buildings, construction techniques, and environment, we are seeing more and more hostile fire events, earlier collapses, and other situations that can trap, injure, or kill our own. Come learn the techniques to rescue them. Student should be proficient in interior fire operations, especially in search and rescue techniques.

Student Needs: Full TOG, SCBA and a spare cylinder

Prerequisite: Mandatory ELIF, EBM or FFI Certification; Recommended RITC, SFR, ICS and SURV

No Facial Hair Permitted

Class Limit: 30 Students

Con-Ed: .5 Hours Clinical Patient Care and 5 Hours Other
