Basement Fires and Flameover / Flashover Recognition

Class Description

This live fire training course is for the Experienced Firefighter and focuses on specific fire ground situations. This course will focus on the proper techniques for advancing hose lines down into hot, unventilated basement fires. Special emphasis will be placed on recognizing the signs of an impending flashover, and how to correct these situations to prevent a flashover from occurring and entrapping firefighters.

Student Needs:Full TOG/PPE and SCBA with spare cylinder required

Prerequisite: Mandatory ELIF, EBM OR FFI Certification
